Cat (she/her) is a 2nd year Pediatrics Resident at UCSF. Chicago is my hometown, and I go back frequently to visit my parents and dog on the South Side. I completed undergraduate degrees in biochemistry and psychology at Washington University in St. Louis. I returned to Chicago for medical school at University of Illinois Chicago, and completed my MD in 5 years with one year spent studying chronic inflammatory skin conditions at the University of Arizona Tucson College of Medicine. I'm currently studying transcriptomics of the developing fetal brain in Dr. Crouch's lab, and hoping to apply for fellowship in neonatology after residency. When I'm not in the hospital or the lab, I'm thrift shopping, reading, or painting.
