CIRM SFSU Masters student
I’m originally from Santa Cruz county, but moved up to the Bay Area to complete my BA in Molecular and Cellular Biology at UC Berkeley. Since then, I’ve spent a few years in biotech startups where I’ve explored the use of stem cells in two different contexts. I’ve worked in regenerative medicine, focusing on the use of ESC derived OPCs to treat demyelinating disorders, and creating a cortical organoid model to triage these cell batches. I also have experience in iPSC disease modelling and high-throughput screens for drug discovery. I’m now interning at the Crouch Lab during my Biomedical MS at SFSU where I will be using a vasocortical organoid model to study the ADM pathway. I’m interested in how angiogenesis and neurogenesis interact with each other during development. In my free time, I love to learn new things through travelling, and also using my hands for baking, stained glass, and glassblowing.
