Kaylee Wedderburn-Pugh

MD/PhD student
Hey! My name is Kaylee. I moved around a bit as a kid, but I spent most of my time in Honolulu, HI. I graduated from Columbia University with degrees in Biochemistry and Philosophy. As an undergrad, I studied the role of ryanodine receptor dysfunction in the progression of Huntington’s disease in the lab of Dr. Andrew Marks. Here at UCSF, I am pivoting my research interests a bit to study fetal neurovascular and blood-brain barrier development. I also have an interest in studying stem cell biology and cell engineering. Always down for grabbing coffee and/or exploring the city.
