M_PEDS-NEONATOLOGY
I majored in Behavioral Neuroscience and minored in Philosophy at the University of San Diego.
During my time at USD, I developed an interest in Neurogenesis and am proud to be able to continue this research at UCSF. The proliferation and integration of functional neurons into the brain from early CNS development on, as a multifaceted cascade, continues to be a question in need of an answer. In the Crouch Lab, my focus is on uncovering interactions between angiogenesis and neurogenesis. Our aim is to further the understanding of the developing nervous system to provide support for patients with neurovascular developmental complications. Alongside my work in the Crouch Lab, I am pursuing my M.Sc. in Applied Neuroscience through King’s College London, taking on the great outdoors, and – when time permits – cooking up a storm.
